Norm Kashdan has been the
Chief Technology Officer at Phios Corporation for over 10 years.
He is a software technologist with over 30
years of experience in knowledge engineering, software strategy,
software development, software engineering process, and software
project management.
Mr. Kashdan has worked in a wide variety
of industries including healthcare, military, aerospace, and consumer
products.
Kashdan has successfully led numerous
projects that produced software solutions that include health care
portals, process repositories, health insurance systems, and the
development of a semantic network and language for representing health
insurance plans and provider contracts.
Mr. Kashdan’s work puts him
at the nexus of technology and business.
He combines a deep knowledge of technology
with an understanding of business systems and principles.
He currently assists companies in
codifying their business knowledge and processes in order to invent,
automate, and implement new business platforms and solutions.
He was the founder and Chief
Knowledge Officer of Metacine, Inc., a firm that designed and built a
next-generation system for automatically adjudicating complex
contracts in the health insurance industry to support e-commerce.
Mr. Kashdan has worked for such diverse
organizations as the Mount Sinai School of Medicine, the Joint Chiefs
of Staff, the U.S. Navy, the Department of Energy, Lockheed, General
Dynamics, Xerox Corporation, New England Business Systems (NEBS),
eHealthDirect (deNovis), Proctor & Gamble, and Health Dialog.
Mr. Kashdan earned both B.S. and M.S. degrees in
Computer Science at the City College of New York.
